A Romantic Wedding at Grand Island Mansion with Elegant Green Draping & Garden-Inspired Details

Some weddings are memorable because of the location. Others are memorable because of the people. Jasmine and Franklin’s romantic wedding managed to be both, while also delivering some of the most thoughtful and cohesive design details I’ve seen.

The couple traveled from the East Coast to celebrate with family and friends at Grand Island Mansion, creating a wedding weekend that felt both elegant and incredibly personal. Every design choice felt intentional, from the layered floral installations to the dramatic drapery that carried throughout the day.

An Outdoor Ceremony Surrounded by Florals

Jasmine and Franklin exchanged vows outdoors surrounded by stunning florals. White roses lined the aisle, leading guests’ eyes toward large arrangements in shades of pink, white, and green at the end of the aisle. The florals featured a mix of heights and textures, which created a lush and romantic vibe.

One of my favorite things about the design was the amount of dimension it brought to the ceremony space. Rather than feeling concentrated in one area, the florals flowed naturally throughout the setting and added interest from every angle while still keeping the focus on the couple. The garden-inspired color palette felt right at home at Grand Island Mansion and set the tone beautifully.

A Romantic Wedding Reception Filled with Thoughtful Design

After an outdoor cocktail hour, guests moved indoors for dinner inside one of the mansion’s most beautiful spaces. The reception room is already stunning on its own, with floor-to-ceiling arched windows that flood the space with natural light and a statement chandelier hanging overhead. Jasmine and Franklin’s wedding design elevated it even further with dramatic green drapery that immediately transformed the room.

The draping became one of the defining design elements of their romantic wedding. It appeared throughout multiple details of the day, including their seating chart design. Those repeated elements helped everything feel cohesive from start to finish.

The tablescapes were equally beautiful. Pink, green, and white florals were arranged at varying heights throughout the tables, creating depth and visual interest. Fresh green pears and clusters of grapes were woven into the design. Every piece added texture and an old-world feel that complemented the overall aesthetic perfectly.

An Indoor-Outdoor Celebration

One thing I loved about Jasmine and Franklin’s wedding was how seamlessly the celebration moved between spaces. Guests enjoyed watching the couple’s first dance outside, then dinner indoors before making their way back outside for dancing under the string lights. The transitions felt effortless and allowed everyone to experience different parts of the property throughout the evening.

Outside, a black-and-white checkered dance floor created a striking focal point beneath the lights. It brought a fun, modern energy to the reception. As the evening continued, the dance floor quickly filled with guests celebrating alongside Jasmine and Franklin.

Champagne Towers, Crystal Swans & Late-Night In-N-Out

The details throughout the reception continued to feel thoughtful and personal. One of the most memorable moments was the champagne tower, which always brings a sense of celebration to a wedding day.

Their wedding cake was equally stunning. Designed in a vintage style, it featured intricate piping and was topped with two crystal swans that added a playful touch.

Later in the evening, Jasmine changed into a second dress before the party continued, giving the reception a fresh energy heading into the final hours of the night.

And perhaps one of the most universally loved details of the entire evening was the late-night In-N-Out. After hours of celebrating, guests were thrilled to grab burgers and continue enjoying the party together.
