Los Angeles Engagement Photos | Kelly & Brent at Greystone Mansion

There’s something about Greystone Mansion that always feels timeless. Between the architecture, stone pathways, and beautiful gardens, it’s one of the most iconic locations for Los Angeles engagement photos.

As a Los Angeles engagement photographer, I love photo locations that offer variety without requiring multiple stops, and Greystone Mansion offers a ton. Every corner of it photographs beautifully!

Kelly and Brent’s session was so much fun. Their photos combined the classic elegance of Greystone Mansion with a playful personal element inspired by their wedding date, July 11. Here’s a look at their Greystone Mansion engagement photos!

Why Greystone Mansion is Perfect for Engagement Photos

It’s easy to see why so many couples are drawn to Greystone Mansion engagement photos.

Located in Beverly Hills, it offers a mix of European-inspired architecture, lush gardens, grand staircases, archways, and more, all within one location. It gives engagement sessions a polished feel without requiring elaborate styling or complicated logistics.

For couples wanting Los Angeles engagement photos that feel timeless, it’s such a great option!

Kelly & Brent’s Los Angeles Engagement Photos

Kelly and Brent’s session felt really easy from the start. As we walked around Greystone Mansion together, they transitioned so naturally between the candid in-between moments and the more editorial, posed photos. Nothing felt too forced or overdone!

One of the many reasons why I love Greystone Mansion is that there’s so much variety throughout the property, but it never takes attention away from the couple. The architecture, gardens, and pathways add so much depth to the photos while still letting Kelly and Brent shine.

Incorporating Personal Details Into Engagement Photos

One of my favorite parts of Kelly and Brent’s session was incorporating a small but meaningful detail tied to their wedding date. Since they’re getting married on July 11, we included a quick stop at a local 7-Eleven during the session.

I think this is something couples sometimes overlook when planning engagement sessions. Not every location has to feel traditionally “beautiful” to matter. Often, the most memorable images come from places or ideas that simply reflect the couple and their story.

Tips for Planning Los Angeles Engagement Photos

If you’re planning your own Los Angeles engagement photos, there are a few things that can make a big difference in how your session goes!

1. Choose a Location That Matches Your Overall Vision

Greystone Mansion works especially well for couples wanting:

  • an editorial feel
  • timeless architecture
  • neutral tones
  • a mix of elegant and natural backdrops

If you want your photos to feel refined without being overly formal, it’s one of the best locations in Los Angeles.

2. Plan Around Lighting

Lighting makes a huge difference at Greystone Mansion. Late afternoon and golden hour tend to create the softest and most flattering light throughout the property.

Weekdays are also often ideal because the grounds can become busy on weekends, especially during peak engagement season.

3. Keep Outfits Intentional and Simple

One of the reasons Kelly and Brent’s session photographed so well was that their wardrobe choices complemented the location rather than competing with it.

For sessions at Greystone Mansion, I usually recommend:

  • neutral tones
  • classic silhouettes
  • minimal patterns
  • textures over bold prints

Simple styling helps keep the images feeling timeless and cohesive.

4. Don’t Be Afraid to Personalize the Session

One of the best ways to make engagement photos feel unique is by incorporating something meaningful to your relationship.

That could look like:

  • visiting a favorite coffee shop
  • including a sentimental piece of clothing
  • or doing something playful like Kelly and Brent’s 7-Eleven stop

Those personal touches are often what make a gallery feel memorable long after the session is over.
